Sony Pictures has debuted a fantastic behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming Saturday Night movie, a new film from director Jason Reitman.
I used to be a great admirer of Saturday Night Live. I found those early episodes to be innovative comedic approaches and hilarious, sometimes vey crazy, and I watched them throughout the early 90s to 2000 when I was in Japan. The show’s humor has dwindled and it’s not as bold or daring as it used to be.
But Today, you’ll be introduced to the film’s creation process and gain a deeper understanding of its story through our new feature. An engaging and fantastic behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming Saturday Night movie, directed by Jason Reitman, has been unveiled by Sony Pictures. The 2024 Telluride Film Festival line-up has revealed that this weekend, it will premiere there before heading to TIFF.
TV was forever altered by a group of young comedians and writers who were ferocious at 11:30pm on October 11, 1975. With Gabriel LaBelle as Lorne Michaels, Rachel Sennott as Rosie Shuster, Cory Michael Smith as Chevy Chase, Ella Hunt as Gilda Radner, Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykroyd, Emily Fairn, Matt Wood, Lamorne Morris, Kim Matula, Finn Wolfhard, Nicholas Braun, Cooper Hoffman, Andrew Barth Feldman, Kaia Gerber, Tommy Dewey, Willem Dafoe, Matthew Rhys, and J.K. Simmons.
This is an exhilarating look at what they accomplished, which includes a live score by Jon Batiste and everything happening on set during filming. I’m getting more and more convinced that this movie could be one of the best of the year. I’m excited to see it.
