Apple TV+ has dropped a new trailer for the highly anticipated reunion of George Clooney and Brad Pitt in a new comedic thriller, Wolfs.

Jon Watts’ latest film is set to go on sale in cinemas by Sony Pictures on September 20th. Two lone-wolf professional fixers hired to do the same job are the focus of the Apple Studios feature, which has Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan in its cast.

Wolfs was written and directed by Watts, who also worked on Spider-Man: No Way Home. Clooney and Grant Heslov produce Smokehouse Pictures, while Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner produce for Plan B Entertainment.

In the trailer, as Clooney puts on gloves to cover up what looks like a grisly murder, he assures a woman, “There’s nobody who can do who I do.” In a few seconds, Pitt arrives wearing a similar outfit and is already wearing gloves. As soon as they realize that the supposed deceased is actually alive, the two lone wolves need to work together during what turns into a long night. While their characters share many similarities, including their speaking and dressing styles, both Clooney and Pitt’s characters agree that they’re not partners.

Clooney voiced a character in IF, which is set to debut in theaters this month, and also helmed the Amazon MGM Studios movie The Boys in the Boat that premiered late last year.

On the other hand, Pitt’s recent onscreen credits include the features Babylon, Bullet Train and The Lost City. He also had a voice cameo in IF and is set to star in Joseph Kosinski’s forthcoming Formula 1 Drama Movie for Apple.

Clooney and Pitt previously shared the big screen in Joel and Ethan Coen’s 2008 feature Burn After Reading. They also co-starred in Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven franchise.

Watts is known for directing Marvel’s Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland and Zendaya that was a co-production between Disney and Sony, the most recent of which was 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. He previously helmed the indie features Clown and Cop Car.
