HBO Max’s new comedy series Minx tells the entertaining story of Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond), a feminist in the 1970s, who sets out to make a magazine catered to her intellectual equals. Her unlikely partnership with publisher Doug (Jake Johnson) results in the creation of Minx, the first erotic magazine for women.
Joyce and Doug have help from Tina (Idara Victor), Bambi (Jessica Lowe), Richie (Oscar Montoya), and Shelly (Lennon Parham), all of whom bring something unique and special to the table.
I had the chance to speak with this show’s six stars and its talented creator, showrunner, and executive producer, Ellen Rapoport, about the appeal of this concept and the entertaining experience of making the show.
