Michael Ausiello has been writing about television for more than two decades, first as a reporter for TV Guide and now as editor of TVLine.
Ausiello has also seen cinematic value in his own life, penning Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies about his romance with Kit Cowan that unfortunately didn’t end in a happy ever after. Now, Spoiler Alert is a feature film from director Michael Showalter, with Emmy winner Jim Parsons playing Ausiello.
I had the chance to speak with Ausiello about being on the other side of the press junket experience and what it feels like to see Parsons portraying him in a movie about his life.
He also addressed the fact that his life story has been made into a movie rather than his chosen medium, a TV series.

Film summary:
Based on Michael Ausiello’s best-selling memoir “Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies,” the film is a heartwarming, funny and life-affirming story of how Michael and Kit’s relationship is transformed and deepened when one of them falls ill.
