According to Deadline, Greg Mottola, the director of “Superbad“ and “Peacemaker,” is the leading contender to direct Warner Bros.’ upcoming “Deathstroke and Bane” movie.
Matthew Orton, who is set to make his debut in the DC Universe, submitted his script to DC Studios chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran in July.
The project is still in the early stages, it is noted that no script or contracts have been sent out yet, which means the project is still in the early stages of development.
The live action versions of Bane and Deathstroke have previously been seen. Tom Hardy portrayed Bane as the main villain in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises,” and Joe Manganiello portrayed Deathstroke in a brief appearance at the conclusion of “Justice League“.
Bane and Deathstroke have appeared in various media, with Bane being one of the major protagonists in Max’s ‘Harley Quinn’ animated series, while Deathstroke was the second season villain of CW’s “Arrow” and also appeared in Titans.
Fans have come to love both characters over the years.
