The 49th Japan Academy Film Prize Winners: Full list

The 49th Japan Academy Awards ceremony was held on March 13 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa, International Hall Pamir.

The film ”Kokuho” won 10 awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Leading Actor. During the ceremony, Chieko Baisho of “TOKYO Taxi,” who was selected for Best Actress, reminisced about the 1978 ceremony when the film “The Yellow Handkerchief” swept the major categories at the 1st Japan Academy Awards.
