Lionsgate’s upcoming prequel film “John Rambo,” which is currently in production,” Sylvester Stallone served as an executive producer. Noah Centineo (“The Recruit”, “Street Fighter“) is the star of the project, which was shot in Thailand in late January, that takes place during the Vietnam War, years before the events of ‘First Blood’.

“Sisu” helmer Jalmari Helander directs the project from a script by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani (“The Mauritanian,” “Black Adam”) with Millennium Media and AGBO also behind the project. Directed the fourth installment in 2008.

Besides Noah Centineo, the cast includes Yao (“Sinners”), Jason Tobin (“A Thousand Blows”), Quincy Isaiah (“Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty”), Jefferson White (“Yellowstone”), and Tayme Thapthimthong (“The White Lotus”).

Kevin King Templeton, Les Weldon, Jonathan Yunger, Michael Disco and Angela Russo-Otstot produce, while Anthony & Joe Russo are among the executive producers.
