Universal Pictures has unveiled the initial trailer for the sophisticated romantic comedy “One Night Only“, which is set to hit theaters on August 7th.

In an ever-so-slightly fictional world, the story takes place where single people are only permitted to have sexual encounters on one night every year.

Oscar nominee Monica Barbaro (“A Complete Unknown,” “Top Gun: Maverick”) and BAFTA nominee Callum Turner (“Masters of the Air,” “Fantastic Beasts”) star as Allie and Owen, two love-starved strangers who crash into each other in New York City.

Owen, who recently broke up with his ex, and Allie, who is hoping for a romantic relationship, may be the only singles in the city that are looking for more than just a quick encounter. Despite feeling a spark when they meet, their night is complicated by missteps and side quests that keep them apart.

As they race towards and away from each other in the city, they may just discover that the one thing they want most is much closer than they thought.
