Paramount Pictures has dropped a new trailer for Bob Marley: ONE LOVE, a film depicting the turbulent life of the legendary musician Bob Marley, has been released simultaneously around the world.
A new trailer is revealing more details about the upcoming biopic focused on the famous reggae singer. Marley rose to fame for his distinct musical style and social activism, which made him a political target during his career. He wrote many well-known songs during his career, including “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” and “One Love.”
The trailer promises an emotional biopic about the legendary singer, focusing on his music alongside how his messages of peace made him a target. Many scenes include harrowing sequences as Marley uses his music to represent the people of Jamaica.
Boby Marley : One Love will focus on his rise to stardom through his songs of peace, alongside how he was targeted by political violence because of them. The biopic stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as Marley, besides Ben-Adir, the film also cast Lashana Lynch, who plays his wife Rita, and James Norton (“War & Peace“), Michael Gandolfini (“Beau is Afraid“), and Nadine Marshall (“Tatami“).
The bio pic is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, whose previous work includes Will Smith’s “King Richard” which was highlighting Serena and Venus Williams’ father. Because of his previous experience crafting engaging biopics, Green seems like the perfect choice to bring Marley’s story to the big screen.
Bob Marley is a legendary musician who was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, and his historic masterpiece “Exodus” was named “the best music album of the 20th century” by Time magazine. He has also received a Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement in Special Achievement, multiple Grammy Hall of Fame Awards, and was inducted into the “Hollywood Walk of Fame”.

This film depicts the unknown and tumultuous life of Bob, who still continues to inspire people around the world 42 years after his death.
The film follows Bob’s life, from his rise to international stardom and the glamorous photo shoots alongside legendary musician Mick Jagger, to his struggle with his role in Jamaica’s divided political situation, to the historic December 3, 1967 “Bob Marley shooting” and his legendary “Smile Jamaica Concert” in which he performed just two days later, despite his injuries.
In this latest trailer, three of his most popular songs, “Redemption Song,” “Could You Be Loved,” and “Three Little Birds,” which are also popular among fans, are used for the first time.
