Bob Marley : One Love : Official Trailer / Starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, Lashana Lynch

Paramount Pictures has dropped a new trailer for Bob Marley biopic, “Bob Marley : One Love” from King Richard director Reinaldo Marcus Green.

Bob Marley : One Love” stars Kingsley Ben-Adir,(“One Night in Miami”) who learned to play guitar for the movie, in the titular role, with Lashana Lynch ( “No Time to Die) as Rita Marley. The film focuses on the period after a 1976 assassination attempt on Marley, as he prepares to return to Jamaica in 1978 for the One Love Peace Concert.

The reggae legend’s son Ziggy, daughter Cedella, and widow, Rita, produced the film alongside Robert Teitel. Besides Kingsley Ben-Adir, The cast includes Lashana Lynch, James Norton, Tosin Cole, Anthony Welsh, Michael Gandolfini, Umi Myers, Nadine Marshall. 

Here’s the synopsis, “BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE” celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.

The film is produced by Robert Teitel, Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley. The executive producers are Richard Hewitt, Orly Marley, and Matt Solodky.

Bob Marley: One Love” is set to release on January 12, 2024.
