Decision to Leave : Trailer / Directed by Park Chan-wook / Starring Park Hae-il, Tang Wei

South Korean director of “Oldboy” and “Stoker,” Park Chan-wook has a new movie, “Decision to Leave.” A fully subtitled l trailer has been released, and it looks very beautiful and mysterious. 

Decision To Leave follows a detective played by “The Host” actor Park Hae-il investigating the death of a man who fall down from a mountain. Along the way, he meets the widow Seo-rae (played by “Lust, Caution” actress Tang Wei).

  When she becomes a suspect, Hae-joon finds himself slowly developing an interest in her. The title is one of the most anticipated titles at the Cannes later this month and was recently picked up by MUBI for a US and UK theatrical release this Fall. “Decision to Leave” will first open in South Korea on June 29th.

Park was previously at Cannes with Grand Prix winner “Oldboy” (2003), “Thirst” (2009), and “The Handmaiden” (2016), which all world premiered at the festival.

Park was also gained the success through the films like, “Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance” (2002), “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” (2005), “Stoker.” 

Park’s last project was the Israeli-spy epic Little Drummer Girl for AMC. Based on the John le Carré novel of the same name, the six-episode miniseries starred Florence Pugh, Alexander Skarsgård, and Michael Shannon.
