Mending the consequences and celebrating the successes of their decisions, while not only finding closure to their high school journeys, but also anticipating the beginning of their young adult lives, is a vital rite of passage for any teenager. The titular protagonist of the acclaimed coming-of-age LGBTQ television series, Love, Victor, who’s played by Michael Cimino, and his friends are doing just that on its newly launched third and final season.
In addition to Cimino, the performers who portray the eponymous character’s friends, who help him not only come out, but also reconcile his past and prepare for his future, include Anthony Turpel as Felix, his neighbor and best friend; Bebe Wood as Lake, his social media–obsessed friend; and Ava Capri as Lucy, who begins dating Lake after the latter ends her romantic relationship with Felix.
Isabella Ferreira and Mateo Fernandez portray Victor’s younger sister and brother, Pilar and Adrian. The duo also help support him in his trek to find inner peace, self-love and freedom of expression, while they also learn to navigate their own happiness.
The characters’ concluding arcs throughout the third season of Love, Victor, which is set in the same world as the 2018 film, Love, Simon, were guided in part by its creators, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The duo also serve as executive producers on the comedy-drama, alongside several other executive producers, including Brian Tanen.
Turpel, Ferreira, Fernandez, Wood, Capri, Aptaker, Berger and Tanen generously took the time recently to talk about starring in and producing Love, Victor‘s third season during exclusive interviews over Zoom. Love Victor‘s third season follows the titular teen as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. He not only decides who he wants to be with – his boyfriend, Benji, or his friend, Rahim – but more broadly, who he wants to be. With their post-high-school plans looming, Victor and his friends are faced with a new set of problems that they must work through to make the best choices for their futures.
