“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” : Starring Rebecca Hall and Dan Stevens

Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures have dropped a new trailer for Adam Wingard’s “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”.

The trailer looks like a great team-up for the ages, as we finally see Godzilla and Kong join forces to face a ferocious foe, the all-new adventure that captures an almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own.

Godzilla vs. Kong filmmaker Adam Wingard is back in the director’s chair, the returning cast members are Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle who are joined by Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns and Fala Chen. Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett and Jeremy Slater penned the script.

The film delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever. In this trailer, the film and indicates those complaining about too many humans in either “Godzilla Minus One” or “Monarch” won’t have that issue here as its all monsters almost all the time.

Here’s the “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” official synopsis: “This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”  is the fifth feature in the MonsterVerse franchise and follows “Godzilla (2014), “Kong: Skull Island”(2017), “Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Godzilla vs. Kong(2021). There have also been two television entries in the franchise, the anime series “Skull Island(2023) released on Netflix and the live-action series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023) released on Apple TV+. opens in cinemas April 12th.
