Black Bear Pictures has presented the official trailer for “Christy“, which debuted earlier this month at the Toronto Film Festival and will be released in cinemas on November 7th.
The biographical film follows Christy Martin (Sydney Sweeney), who never imagined living outside of her small-town roots in West Virginia until she discovered a talent for punching people.
She is fueled by grit, raw determination, and an unshakable desire to win, as she enters the world of boxing under the guidance of her trainer and manager, Jim (Ben Foster).
Despite her fiery nature in the ring during the 1990s, Christy’s toughest battles are still outside the ring, where she must face family, identity, and a relationship that could be life-or-death。
The film aslo stars Ben Foster, Merritt Wever, Katy O’Brian, Ethan Embry, Chad L. Coleman and Tony Cavaler.
Directed by David Michôd and he also co-written the screenplay with Mirrah Foulkes. Michod, Sweeney, Kerry Kohansky-Roberts, Teddy Schwarzman, Brent Stiefel and Justin Lothrop produce.
