Author Michael Connelly’s famed defense attorney Mickey Haller makes the leap from the page to the small screen in Netflix’s new series The Lincoln Lawyer, the second project based on the novel following the 2011 film starring Matthew McConaughey. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo stars as Haller, a lawyer known for operating out of his car who inherits a recently killed lawyer’s firm and his biggest case, that of a rich and powerful video game magnate, Trevor Elliott (Christopher Gorham), accused of killing his wife and her lover.

I had the chance to speak with Gorham, a seasoned TV veteran known for roles on shows like Covert Affairs and Ugly Betty, about what drew him to his first legal drama, digging into his character, and getting to reteam with costar Becki Newton.

You can watch the video above, and read below for an official summary and where to watch.
