Comedian Jay Leno to Play Ed Sullivan in Beatles Drama ‘Midas Man’

Former Tonight Show host and Last Man Standing alum Jay Leno is set to play television titan Ed Sullivan in Midas Man, a big-screen drama about legendary Beatles manager Brian Epstein. Deadline.com reported that Leno will co-star with The Queen’s Gambit actor Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, who will play the late Epstein, who greatly influenced pop music in the 1960s.

The cast of Midas Man includes Emily Watson, Eddie Marsan and Rosie Day, but the actors who will play Beatles members George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have not been announced yet. Filming began last month in Liverpool, but has been on hiatus since music video director Jonas Akerlund exited the project, and now, Sara Sugarman is helming this project.

Production is expected to resume in England Monday and the production will move to the United States in January.
