Konami Announces Remake of ‘Silent Hill’ Game

As part of its Press Start online presentation this week, Konami announced that It will be remaking Silent Hill. The long-rumored project will be developed in collaboration with Bloober Team, the group that developed the Silent Hill 2 remake last year.

According to a statement from the Bloober Team: “Our collaboration with Konami has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create high-quality production together. Of course, we can’t reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are. We can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right.”

During this week’s presentation, Konami showed a new developer diary that included appearances by several key figures in the project; producer Motoi Okamoto, scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and representatives of NeoBards Entertainment.

 

No further details about the Silent Hill remake were revealed, such as screenshots or an estimated release date.

Konami also announced that it was introducing a new Suikoden game titled Suikoden Star Leap, which will only be available for PC via Steam and mobile devices. Other new releases will include the online multiplayer Fox Hunt mode in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. In addition, Konami will be launching Silent Hill F on September 25. Silent Hill F will be the first title in the series to be set in Japan.

To be released on August 28, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. At the presentation, Konami showed footage of the Snake vs. Monkey mode available on PS5 and Steam, the Snake vs. Bomberman mode available on Xbox Series X / S, as well as a new Fox Hunt online multiplayer mode.
