Warner Brothers had released a fresh new image of a highly anticipated Matt Reeves’ The Batman film ahead of March release, giving us a look at some of Gotham’s most anticipated villains. The new images separate from the previous Batman iterations, combining the Tim Burton’s colorful vision and Christopher Nolan’s dark and gritty The Dark Knight series, a clear distinction from either film adaptation of the DC comic series.
The first image shows a militant Riddler, wearing a full face mask and army jacket, the only hint at the villain’s identity, a new costume evokes early drawings of the Zodiac Killer, who terrorized California in the late 1960s. From this photo that Ridder is played by Paul Dano, who is perhaps most known for his works, including Little Miss Sunshine and Ruby Sparks.

The second photo shows Colin Farrell gained his weight, looks more unrecognizable in his role as the Penguin. Farrell is shown sitting, quite imposingly, in a leather chair, looking more like a mob boss.

The Batman is shaping up to be an intriguing detective story with the Riddler as the main villain. Andy Serkis co-stars as Alfred Pennyworth, while John Turturro plays Carmine Falcone. We may also potentially be seeing a fresh take on the Joker in the film. Barry Keoghan has seemingly been confirmed to have a role in the movie after he was rumored to be playing the Joker. Whether that’s the case or not remains to be seen.
