Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming with Dave Letterman | Official Trailer | Disney+

U2’s Bono and the Edge make a return to Dublin with Dave Letterman, reflecting on their journey as musicians and friends. The special features never-before-seen footage and interviews detailing their songwriting process and the inspiration behind their greatest hits.

During lockdown in 2020, Bono and Edge spent time revisiting many of their iconic songs and re-recorded them for today’s audience.

When they emerged, Bono invited Dave to visit the pair in Dublin and attend a special show at the old Ambassador Cinema building at the top of O’Connell Street. Directed by Morgan Neville, this is a concert movie, a travel adventure, and the story of one of the most remarkable friendships in the history of rock and roll.

  The docu-special was shot on location in New York and Los Angeles and, of course, in Dublin, Ireland.

NOTE: On the same day U2 will also being debuting the highly anticipated album ‘SONGS OF SURRENDER’ which is a collection of 40 seminal U2 songs from across the band’s catalog, re-recorded and reimagined for 2023 in sessions spanning the last two years.

The docu-special is produced by Imagine Documentaries, Tremolo Productions, and Dave Letterman’s Worldwide Pants. For Imagine Documentaries, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein and Justin Wilkes are executive producers; Séamus Murphy-Mitchell is producer; and Meredith Kaulfers and Mike Sweeney are co-executive producers. For Tremolo, Morgan Neville is director and producer, and Caitrin Roger is executive producer. For Worldwide Pants, Tom Keaney is executive producer, and Mary Barclay is co-executive producer.
