PLAN C festival trailer

In June 2022, the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, delivering a mind-blowing decision for those seeking safe and timely access to abortion-based healthcare. Since then, many people have been working tirelessly to ensure that those who can become pregnant have the choice to terminate their pregnancy if they should choose.

The trailer focuses on the determined group of blue state advocates, midwives and doctors who have been networking to increase access to abortion pills in the United States outside of a clinic setting, regardless of where you live.
The filmmaker Tracy Droz Tragos will tell the story of their heroic work in the upcoming documentary “Plan C.” After unveiling the feature at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, the project is currently screening at SXSW with its trailer making its way to future audiences today.

In 2014, Francine, a social scientist based in Los Angeles, and her partners launched “Plan C” for the purpose of spreading the word about how and where to buy abortion pills online. This is the story of that work between 2020 and the overturning of Roe in 2022: the pipelines they built, the access they expanded, the criticism they faced, and the hope they have for the future.
