Emmy Nominations Announced, Led by ‘Succession’

The nominations for the 74th Emmy Awards were announced this morning by J.B. Smoove and Melissa Fumero. A record number of series in competition has resulted in a list that overwhelmingly favors a few shows far ahead of the rest.

The nomination leader is Succession, which earned a whopping 25 nominations. Next up are Ted Lasso, which matched its season one total of 20 nominations, and The White Lotus, which also earned 20. Hacks and Only Murders in the Building each earned 17. Squid Game, which earned 14 nominations, is the first non-English language show to be nominated for Best Drama Series.

Read below for all the top nominees, and check out the full list on the Emmys website. The 74th Emmy Awards will be broadcast on Monday, September 12th, live coast to coast (8:00-11:00 PM EDT/5:00-8:00 PM PDT) on NBC and will stream live for the first time on Peacock.
