There’s a new generation of royals waiting in the wings to appear in Season 6 of The Crown, Netflix’x popular series about the British royal family.
Meg Bellamy is set to play Kate Middleton, joining two actors who will take on the role of young Prince William: Rufus Kampa and Ed McVey.

He’s already played the lead in a West End musical based on Sue Townsend’s book The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13-3/4. In September, the young thespian will begin studies at the highly regarded Tring Park School for Performing Arts.
Ed McVey, 21, also has several notches in his dramatic belt, having appeared at The Old Vic and at Hammersmith Riverside Studios. He is a recent graduate of a four-year program at Drama Center London.
Meg Bellamy, who will play the role of Kate Middleton, is a newcomer to the world of stage and screen: her Season 6 performance in The Crown will mark her professional debut.
When Season 5 of the series debuts this November, viewers will have to get accustomed to an all-new cast, with Imelda Staunton playing Queen Elizabeth and Jonathan Pryce playing Prince Philip. Olivia Coleman had portrayed the Queen in earlier episodes. Other newbies include Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.

The role of Prime Minister John Major will be played by Jonny Lee Miller.
Season 5 will also see Senan West (Dominic West’s son) in the role of the 11-year old Prince Willliam. Prince Harry will be played by Teddy Hawley and Will Powell. All this is to indicate the likelihood that Season 5 will be focusing on the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997. Season 6, which will begin production this fall, will focus on the years after her death, a period when the Windsors were embroiled in controversy due to the revelations about Prince Charles’s infidelity as well as scandals involving Prince Andrew.
