Billie Eilish has revealed she’s working on a 3D collaboration with director James Cameron. The nine-time Grammy winner broke the news on Saturday at a sold-out concert in Manchester, England.

She told the audience there: “So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here. Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D.”

The singer added: “So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”

Though no specific details were revealed about the project, Eilish’s fans on social media have already been speculating that it could be a documentary, a film, or a music video.

Eilish’s previous film credits include the 2021 documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry and the concert film Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles. The singer is now on a world tour promoting her third album Hit Me Hard and Soft, which was released in 2024. After concert appearances in Europe and Japan, she will wind up with a final concert in San Francisco on November 23.

Born in Los Angeles in 2001, Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell first came to public attention in 2015 with her debut single Ocean Eyes, which was written and produced by her brother Francis O’Connell. Her debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? became a best-seller upon its release in 2019. Eilish performed the eponymous theme song for the James Bond film No Time to Die, which won an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2022.
