Over the Labor Day weekend, actor Chloë Grace Moretz, 28, and model and photographer Kate Harrison, 34, were married in a private ceremony at an undisclosed location. The couple had begun dating in 2018. On New Year’s Day they confirmed their engagement by showing off diamond rings that had been designed by Elizabeth Potts at Moon Stone.
For their nuptials, both women wore gowns by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton, Moretz’s baby blue dress had spaghetti straps and a bodice ruffle, accentuated by long blue gloves and a matching veil. Harrison’s gown was traditional white, with sparkling embroidery and a long birdcage veil.
“It just feels like me,” Moretz told an interviewer for Vogue: “I never really envisioned a wedding dress in my mind growing up, so when we started talking about what that would look like, I knew I would do something non-traditional, and not wear white, and kind of have it feel different, and I think it really does.”
For the party afterwards, Moretz wore an ensemble that had been inspired by a Louis Vuitton runway design from 2018: a customized jacket and trousers accentuated by a white cowboy hat. She was quoted in Vogue as saying: “I remember seeing the runway version, and it had this cowboy hat, and to (now) see it created to my proportions, it’s just so beautiful. And a little bit of ‘Yee-haw, baby!’”
Moretz, who is a Louis Vuitton ambassador, was also quick to express her gratitude to the designers. She said: “Thank you doesn’t even begin to cut it, but, thank you. Your vision made our day all the more meaningful. x”
Chloë Grace Moretz began her acting career as a child star. She later appeared in such films as Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Carrie, Kick-Ass, and The Miseducation of Cameron Post. Harrison has modeled for such clients as J. Crew and Topshop.
