“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has had its first trailer released. A new Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland as the web-slinger has been awaited for five years now, and here is the first glimpse.
In the trailer released by Sony on Wednesday, the superhero is seen recruiting Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher to help Peter Parker rebuild his life after the multi-verse mash-up No Way Home. Parker is experiencing mysterious physical challenges because he has reached a critical point in the spider’s life cycle.
Zendaya, Holland’s partner in real life, returns as MJ in the latest film, but it’s expected that the Euphoria actress will have a smaller part than in previous installments. Brand New Day is a prequel to the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” movie that is set to release in December.
Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is the director of the final contracted stand-alone Spider-Man film for Holland.
Jacob Battalion, Sadie Sink, Liza Colon-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando are all actors who appear in the movie. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will be released on July 31st.
