Peacock, a streaming service, has announced plans for at least one TV series that is based on the ”Fast & Furious” franchise.

Vin Diezel, who plays the role of a franchise star, was present at NBC Universal’s upfront at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday.

“For the last decade, we have realised that the fans have wanted more. They wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories. And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space. The news that I have here today is that Peacock is launching four shows from the Fast and Furious universe.”

THR followed that up with a source at the streamer who told them only one show is in active development.

Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman are serving as co-showrunners on the Universal Television project. There’s no word on any storyline, setting or character involvement in the series.

Diesel will executive produce the in-development show along with Sam Vincent, Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Morgan.

The films have amassed more than $7 billion at the worldwide box office, with an eleventh and seemingly final film targeting a 2028 release.
