Universal Pictures recently released the final trailer for Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming UFO movie “Disclosure Day,” a film that hits theaters just over two weeks from now.

Leading the cast is Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, and Wyatt Russell. The film, marking Spielberg’s directorial work since 2022’s “The Fabelmans“, sets a new milestone.

A whistleblower races against time amidst a massive government conspiracy, determined to cause the historic event that will reveal aliens: the day of ultimate alien disclosure.

David Koepp wrote the script for the film, derived from a story by Spielberg, with Janusz Kamiński handling the cinematography and John Williams responsible for composing the score.

This project marks Spielberg’s comeback to summer blockbusters, his previous foray into this category being 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.

There have been speculations that this is not just a ‘spiritual follow-up’ to “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” but possibly something altogether different.

The film “Disclosure Day,” produced by Kristie Macosko Krieger, will debut in cinemas on June 12th.
