The official announcement is that “Spider-Noir ,” led by Nic Cage, has been cancelled and will not be reappearing on Prime Video.

According to The Wrap, Amazon decided not to renew the series for a second season, making this decision just over three months after the show began in late May with positive feedback.

Cage portrayed Ben Reilly, a experienced, nearly broke private investigator from 1930s New York, who finds himself challenged by his past when tragedy strikes his life deeply, as the city’s sole superhero.

Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson co-starred, alongside executive producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, who also worked alongside showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot.

Released in both black-and-white and vivid color, the series garnered eleven Emmy nominations, the highest for a Prime Video show in 2026, alongside strong viewer engagement with 2.6 billion viewing minutes in its first six weeks, as reported by Nielsen.Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios are set to collaborate again to develop more stories featuring Marvel characters, and they’ve already pinpointed what projects they’ll pursue next.
