Neon has unveiled the complete Japanese trailer for the upcoming film titled “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo“, directed by Takashi Miike.

This premier is scheduled to take place at the 2026 Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) this month – poised to make a big impression in the cinema lineup at the festival.

This is the third installment in the Bad Lieutenant film series, and a standalone sequel to Herzog’s “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” from 2009. A police officer from Tokyo, addicted to gambling, and an FBI agent hunt for a missing daughter of a politician, as a cunning killer stalks them through the criminal underworld.

Starring Lily James, Shun Oguri, and WWE wrestler Liv Morgan, with Shotaro Mamiya, Jun Kunimura, Hiroshi Tachi, and Nanase Nishino.

Miike has been consistently producing new films and series every year, showing no signs of slowing down. The trailer is quite funny! Inclusion of a unique “Bad Lieutenant” song, composed specifically for the film and featured as its trailer soundtrack. Featuring numerous quirky and bewildering scenes, this movie is sure to make you want to watch it right now.
