Warner Bros. has dropped the final trailer and a new poster for Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Three,” starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya.

The film will be adapted from the 1969 book “Dune Messiah”. The new movie starts seventeen years later, with Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) as Emperor, married to Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh), and still in touch with his concubine, Chani (Zendaya).

Opposition against him is plotted, including the Bene Tleilax – a secretive, xenophobic sect engaged in genetic modification and biological commodities trade. Villeneuve notes the movie will more heavily pivot towards a thriller genre and will also include a greater amount of action scenes compared to the previous two films.

“Dune : Part Three” also stars Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Jason Momoa in a new portrayal of Duncan Idaho, Robert Pattinson as Scytale, and Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica.

This marks Chalamet and Villeneuve’s final venture into this cinematic universe. Using primarily 65mm film, the project also features segments shot in 15/70mm IMAX film.

“Dune: Part Three” is slated to release in cinemas on December 18th.
