The official trailer for “Behemoth!“, a new film directed by Tony Gilroy, creator of “Andor” and writer of “Michael Clayton“, featuring Pedro Pascal, is now available.

Pascal portrays Alex Serian, a former child prodigy and third-generation studio musician with over two decades of experience traveling and offering his cello-playing services as a freelancer.

Now, he heads back to Los Angeles to focus on composing film scores. Every time he executes the opening cue from another fictional movie, the music evokes a flashback showing why he departed and what ultimately led him back home nearly two and a half decades later.

Also featured are Hank Azaria as his father, Will Arnett as his brother, Olivia Wilde as an ex-girlfriend, Eva Victor as a fellow cellist, and others like Matthew Lillard, Margarita Levieva, Jobeth Williams, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, and Alexa Swinton.

Gilroy enlisted nine composers, each tasked with crafting a unique score: Michael Giacchino, James Newton Howard, Alan Silvestri, Michael Abels, Emily Bear, Lukas Frank, Henry Jackman, Naomi Melumad, and Brandon Roberts, to ensure each film’s music had its own identity.

On December 4th, Searchlight Pictures will have “Behemoth!” premiering in theaters.
