Though daytime television soap operas are still thriving, the style hasn’t made the jump to original streaming programming. Prime Video though is primed to change that with its new series, The Baxters.
Produced by and starring Roma Downey and based on the book series featuring the titular family created by Karen Kingsbury, The Baxters delivers an experience much in line with Downey’s famous predecessor; Touched by an Angel. We spoke with the producer and star about the new project and what it does differently from its peers.
