Just before the “Minions and Monsters” trailer was set to premiere in theaters the following day, Universal Pictures and Illumination revealed the teaser for their upcoming film “Not Alone,” which was scheduled to hit cinemas in April of the following year.
Timothée Chalamet, a four-time Oscar winner, brings his vocal talents to an animated project, voicing an introverted rocket technician named Joe, a solitary individual who leads a peaceful existence. Selena Gomez will portray Fran, the astrophysicist-botanist pioneering the globe’s inaugural biofuel rocket.
The duo is assembled to get ready for the rocket’s inaugural flight, but sparks fly immediately, though neither is particularly skilled in romance.
Life gets more intricate when three alien beings – small, chaotic, and endearing – move into Joe’s domicile. The group consists of Dunk, Welly, and Shirm, and they’re embarking on an interplanetary journey from a zealous but inept planetary constable known as Zandro.
The extraterrestrials ascertain that Fran’s spacecraft can serve as their pathway to returning to safety in their home planet. Comedians Rob Brydon (from “The Trip“), Diane Morgan (from “Cunk On“), and Jamie Demetriou (from “The Roses“) will provide the voices for the three alien characters, with “Ted Lasso” alumnus Brett Goldstein taking on the role of Officer Zandro. Lamorne Morris, a ‘Spider-Noir’ hit, and Allison Janney, a distinguished actress, are co-stars. Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson, and Jonathan Del Val collaborate as directors on the project.
“Not Alone” will open in cinemas on April 16th 2027.
