NEON has debuted the trailer for its fresh stoner comedy “The Wrong Girl,” a film scheduled to debut in theaters on August 14th.

Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat carry a notable ensemble as Frankie and Molly, two interdependent stoners who never seem to fully mature.

Just like Molly’s boyfriend asks her to move in, Frankie is incorrectly given a bag containing some glowing vials of an experimental psychedelic, which they end up consuming. The medication imparts lasting telepathic abilities, allowing them to comprehend their feline companions’ thoughts.

The ensemble features LaKeith Stanfield as the action hero NotMetalHeadDave, Kate McKinnon as the Danish scientist who developed the drugs, and Geena Davis as her partner; Zack Fox as Molly’s boyfriend, Tony Hale as a real estate developer, and Seth Rogen and Kumail Nanjiani as the voices of the cats.

This project signals Dylan Meyer’s directorial debut as both writer and director.
