Paramount Pictures has premiered a second trailer for “Suicide Squad” and “The Beekeeper” filmmaker David Ayer’s new film “Heart of the Beast” starring Brad Pitt and a canine star.

Following a perilous plane accident, Special Forces officer James Belmont (Pitt) and his German Shepherd combat dog, Odin, find themselves lost deep within Alaskan wilderness.

They are compelled into a fierce struggle for survival alongside harsh conditions. This gripping adventure thriller delves into the unshakable connection between a man and his most loyal companion as they confront their most formidable challenge yet.

J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe are co-stars, and the movie has reportedly undergone multiple successful test-screenings in the past few months, garnering positive feedback.

Taking 100 minutes, the project is described as a minimalist thriller akin to Joe Carnahan’s “The Gray“.

Ayer, Pitt, Olivia Hamilton, and Marty Bowen collaborate on the film, with Damien Chazelle serving as executive producer, with Cameron Alexander as the screenwriter.

“Heart of the Beast” is set to open in cinemas on September 25th.
