Netflix released the complete trailer for the Ben Affleck-directed crime thriller “Animals“.

With the kidnapping of Mark Kimball’s son, who is running for mayor of Los Angeles, his wife and he have just a few hours to gather the ransom money. With their financial resources mostly allocated to his political campaign, they now must confront aspects of their lives they never wanted to reveal.

Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington play Mark and his wife Abigail, respectively. Also starring are Gillian Anderson as the candidate’s ‘fixer’ and Steven Yeun as his campaign manager.

Connor McIntyre penned the script, with subsequent revisions by Affleck and Billy Ray (“Shattered Glass”). Affleck, Matt Damon, Dani Bernfeld, Brad Weston and Collin Creighton produce.

“Animals” will debut in select cinemas and on Netflix on October 9th.
