A24 recently unveiled the trailer for “Misty Green,” a film directed by Chris Rock, who last helmed a project over a decade ago, making this his return to directing, alongside Daniel Kaluuya’s first live-action performance since “Nope,” which occurred four years past.
In the film, Rosalind Eleazar, who previously starred in “Slow Horses,” plays Misty Green, a talented but struggling actress aiming to revive her fading Hollywood career post-professional setbacks and personal reunions.
Kaluuya plays her brother, and the pair lead a stacked cast that includes Adam Driver, Anna Kendrick, Topher Grace, Anthony Anderson and Rock himself.
Rock collaborated with David Worthen Brooks and Peter Rice on the movie production. “Misty Green” had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival to decent reviews, and opens in cinemas next month.
