“We need to have faith!” exclaimed Bleecker Street, unveiling the last promo trailer for the upcoming concert documentary George Michael: The Faith Tour, which is set to premiere in theaters worldwide this fall. The film serves as a splendid ode to the iconic musician George Michael and offers a time-honored glimpse into a pivotal moment of his life and career.

This concert film, pieced together from rediscovered, long-hidden 35mm footage of his 1988 Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy show, captures George at the pinnacle of his creative abilities during the groundbreaking Faith Tour. With restoration and remastering by experts, it reinvigorates a cultural moment into a cinematic extravaganza.

Mary McCartney’s original short film kicks off the feature, utilizing newly unearthed audio and images from her “Faith Era” in 1986-1988. This film provides a compelling look at this critical period in her life. It’s particularly thrilling to see it because it was originally filmed on 35mm and has been remastered into a flawless 4K version, making it perfect for big screen enjoyment.
