Amazon and MGM Studios have released a new trailer for “I Play Rocky,” featuring an exciting glimpse of Anthony Ippolito portraying young Sylvester Stallone.

The film in question delves into the creation of Stallone’s well-known boxing epic Rocky. The premiere of I Play Rocky took place earlier this year at the Toronto International Film Festival and received mostly positive reviews.

The trailer begins with Ippolito portraying Stallone as a novice actor who takes on casual jobs to cover expenses. Due to his unsuccessful audition results, Stallone decides to write his own script, an idea his wife finds promising.

During a meeting with the future creators of Rocky, he received recognition for his screenplay.

The footage takes an unexpected turn as Stallone suggests playing Rocky himself, shocking the producers. He is then depicted meeting Carl Weathers for the very first time in a genuine boxing ring

The trailer features clips of scenes recreated from the actual Rocky. Instead of displaying Stallone’s footage, they opted to have Ippolito reenact the performance of the Italian Stallion. The trailer finishes with a memorable shot of Rocky running up the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s steps.
