Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, the creators of “Other Mommy,” a new horror/thriller, recently released the trailer, which will be screened in cinemas on October 9th.

The project is portrayed as a harrowing journey into the shadowy realm of young Bela, who establishes a strange connection with an eerie figure in her home that resembles her own mother.

Chastain, an Oscar winner, plays both Bela’s mother and the entity’s manifestation.

Also featured are Arabella Olivia Clark (“The Housemaid“) as Bela, Jay Duplass (“Industry“) as Bela’s father Daddo, Dichen Lachman (“Severance“), Arian Moayed (“Succession“) and the esteemed Karen Allen (“Raiders of the Lost Ark“).

Nathan Elston, who won the WGA award for his script in the TV drama “Succession,” based his work on the New York Times bestselling novel “Incidents Around the House” by Josh Malerman. Malerman’s novel “Bird Box” was later adapted into a successful Netflix film starring Sandra Bullock.
