Roadside Attractions and Vertical have unveiled the official trailer for “The Gallerist“, which will begin its theatrical run on December 4, 2026.

For the gallery owner central to “The Gallerist“, having visitors enter the space could become an issue once they begin scrutinizing the exhibition closely.

Natalie Portman portrays a lady whose financial survival hinges on making the right connections, and an unforeseen death offers her a tempting solution.

Jenna Ortega will join Portman in the dark comedy, produced by Cathy Yan, the director of Birds of Prey. The scene shifts from Gotham to Art Basel Miami, where access, a significant buyer, or a favorable introduction can alter someone’s career.

Portman’s character badly requires a break, with an inclination to prioritize engaging the audience’s curiosity about a provocative aspect over scrutiny of its origins.

The narrative follows a gallery owner struggling with financial hardships as a result of a tumultuous divorce. Desperately aiming to gain recognition among the elite, she plots to pass off a coincidental death as the focal point of her debut exhibition. The resulting attention leads to influencers and the police being increasingly placed in a precarious situation.
