‘Thunderbolts*’ Video Review: MCU Anti-Heroes Form a New Dysfunctional Team

Marvel Studios is back with its second movie of 2025, as Thunderbolts brings together Marvel’s latest team of misfits, including Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova and David Harbour’s Red Guardian from Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and other anti-heroes from the MCU to form a dysfunctional group of potential heroes.

Directed by Emmy winner Jake Schreier (Beef), the movie mostly revolves around Valentina, the director of the CIA, and the fact that she’s facing impeachment at a Congressional hearing. She sends a group of heroes, including Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost (from Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Wyatt Russell’s John Walker (from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) to clean up loose ends. While on that mission, they encounter a strange character named “Bob” (Lewis Pullman) who turns out to be far more powerful and dangerous than they could eer have imagined.

Cinema Daily US’s Edward Douglas reviews the movie in the video review that you can watch above.
