Paul Thomas Anderson’s widely popular “One Battle After Another” was proclaimed the Best Picture of 2025 by the National Society of Film Critics.
On January 3rd, the organization held its 60th annual awards voting meeting, where critics voted in-person at gatherings in Los Angeles and New York, and also participated remotely across the United States.
The film was awarded Best Director, Supporting Actor (Benicio del Toro), and Supporting Actress (Teyana Taylor), making it the most successful of the night, and being a runner-up for cinematography.
The “Sinners” and “The Secret Agent” films were among the notable winners or runners-up, along with “Blue Moon”, “Sentimental Value“, and “Nouvelle Vague.”
