With all eight episodes premiering on July 1st, Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for their prequel series “Elle,” based on the “Legally Blonde” film.
The series follows title character Elle (Lexi Minetree) through her high school years. That year, we encountered her as a newcomer in the chaotic high school environment, where she grappled with complex friendships, forbidden romances, and questionable fashion decisions.
Throughout it all, Elle relies on her family as a source of support and strengthens her connection with her mother, showing that they can overcome any challenge as long as they are together.
Every time Elle faces a challenge, she gets closer to embodying the Elle Woods we celebrate today.
Other actors include Tom Everett Scott, June Diane Raphael, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney, and Zac Looker.
Created by Laura Kittrell (“High School,” “Insecure“), she co-executed and produced the show along with Kittrell and Caroline Dries. Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Amanda Brown, Marc Platt, and Brad Van Arragon serve as executive producers.
Jason Moore, who helmed the initial two episodes of the series (“Pitch Perfect”), saw early season two renewal following the show’s successful debut.
