Several recognizable international stars are scheduled to appear in the Warner Bros. prequel to “Ocean’s Eleven” directed by Bradley Cooper.
The latest additions comprise Vicky Krieps (“Phantom Thread,” “Old“), George MacKay (“1917,” “True History of the Kelly Gang“), Omar Sy (“Lupin,” “Jurassic World“), Lauren Ridloff (“The Walking Dead,” “Eternals“), and Jack Holden (“The Levelling,” “Ten Percent“).
The cast, consisting of five members, joins Cooper, Margot Robbie, Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro, and Josh Gad, in the comedic heist thriller, which will start filming in Paris late July and then move to the South of France.
The screenplay, penned by Carrie Solomon, is based on characters developed by George Clayton Johnson and Jack Golden Russell, and it’s said to be a prequel centered around the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.
The movie will follow DannyOcean’s parents (Cooper, Robbie) as they are played by the villain, Moura. Robbie and Tom Ackerley are producing. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung (“Minari,” “Twister“) was initially slated to direct but later handed over the reins to Cooper.
