Bray Studios’ Berkshire is in the spotlight this weekend as contenders for the role of James Bond in the upcoming installment of the franchise have completed their last round of screen tests.

According to The Daily Mail, Callum Turner, star of “Fantastic Beasts,” began the concluding round of screen tests on Friday at the prestigious production location on The River Thames, which Amazon MGM Studios acquired in 2024.

Another contender, Jack Lowden, along with Josh O’Connor, the top two, are anticipated to be tested this weekend, possibly with a fourth individual yet to be determined.

Previously, both Jacob Elordi and Jack O’Connell were believed not to be in consideration, but whispers about the 29-year-old Elordi are resurfacing.

Several online voter surveys put Lowden as the early frontrunner for “Slow Horses”, garnering at least 55-65% of the votes, while Turner is second and O’Connor third.

Lowden is currently filming the eighth season of “Slow Horses“, which isn’t scheduled to air until 2028.

It’s unclear if this will be the finale, as the show has matched the novels (but several novellas remain).

Whomever is selected for the role will join a club of six names so far: Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
