Matthew Schuchman : In the early 90s, while at the video store with his friends who wanted to rent Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead, Matthew asked the clerk if they had any copies of Naked Lunch available. A film buff from an early age, he would turn his fascination into his own review site in 2010; Movie Review from Gene Shalit’s Moustache. From there, he provided his voice to such publications as Den of Geek, Coming Soon, and Verbicide magazine as a film reviewer and talent interviewer.

Ever since Bob Odenkirk joined the cast of Breaking Bad, he has kept evolving in the world of Film and TV. From the early days of comedy on the Ben Stiller Show, SNL, and Mr. Show; things began to get serious after his Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul, impressed audiences world wide. Major roles in films by Alexander Payne and Steven Spielberg weren’t far behind, but when he stepped into the world of action via his butt kicking turn in Normal, a new love was born.
Wanting to do more films of that kind, he teamed up with Normal and John Wick scribe, Derek Kolstad, to cook up their own new project. Teaming up with British film maker Ben Wheatley, a new hero was born in Bob’s newest character; Ulysses Richardson. We caught up with Bob, Ben, and Jess McLeod to discuss their new film at a special screening at The Metrograph in NYC.
