Actor Bob Odenkirk has been hospitalized after collapsing on the New Mexico set of his AMC drama, Better Call Saul. “Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning. My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul,” Bryan Cranston, Odenkirk’s former Breaking Bad co-star, wrote on Instagram Wednesday. 

“He is in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving the medical attention he needs but his condition is not known to the public as yet. Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.” TMZ was the first to report the incident involving the 58-year-old actor, who was filming the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul, a Breaking Bad prequel, when he fell ill.

“Odenkirk went down, and was immediately surrounded by crew members who called an ambulance,” the media outlet cited an unnamed source as saying. CNN said it confirmed TMZ’s report with its own sources, but Odenkirk’s condition at this time remains unknown. Odenkirk has not yet offered an update on social media. USA Today said it has not gotten a response to its email request to an AMC representative for a comment about Odenkirk’s health crisis. Former co-stars Michael McKean and Aaron Paul wished him well. “Sending huge love to our @mrbobodenkirk. You got this, brother,” McKean tweeted. Paul posted a photo of Odenkirk on Instagram with the caption, “I love you my friend.”

Odenkirk recently headlined the critically acclaimed action film, Nobody, which has grossed nearly $60 million since its release in March. In the 1990s, Odenkirk co-created and starred in Mr. Show, with David Cross. Odenkirk won two Emmy Awards for writing episodes of The Ben Stiller Show and Saturday Night Live. His other credits include The Larry Sanders Show, The Post, Little Women, Fargo and Nebraska.
