About
The highly competitive evaluation process, led by Broadway veteran Reg E. Gaines, Letter was selected as the finalists from over 300 submissions received from across the U.S. and abroad.
Momo is passionate about writing this story because it centers around the relationship between a Japanese mother and son. Asian parents often desperately hopes to raise the child to be a “normal” person who can fit into society without speaking up about their own voice. Throughout the play, the protagonist shows both rebellion and love toward his conservative mother. Momo believes this is a story that will resonate with people who love or fear their parents.
