Following the teaser in February, some futurists have speculatively discussed it, but now the full-length trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s live-action ”Spider-Noir” series is available.
The show depicts the story of Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), a aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator, who is compelled to confront his past life as the city’s sole superhero.
The character Cage voiced in animation form in 2018’s ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ will be brought back by him, as co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot take over.
The casting for Flint Marko/Sandman, Brendan Gleeson as crime boss Silvermane, Li Jun Li as Cat Hardy, Abraham Popoola as Tombstone, and Andrew Caldwell as Megawatt has been announced.
Lamorne Morris, Lukas Haas, Karen Rodriguez, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Amy Aquino, and Andrew Robinson co-star.
Harry Bradbeer directed the first two episodes and produced them with the help of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, who are also regulars on “Spider-Verse”.
The series produced by Sony Pictures Television will be available to watch in both black-and-white and color and is scheduled to premiere on both Prime Video and MGM+ on May 27th.
